Purpose of this site
Cleverways provides general, educational information on scam awareness and fraud prevention in the UK. We aim to help you spot red flags quickly and stay safe.
Not legal, financial, or personal advice
The content on this site (including guides, blogs, emails and downloads) is general information only. It is not legal advice, financial advice, or personalised advice. Always verify with your bank or the official organisation before acting.
No client relationship
Using this site or contacting us does not create a client, advisory, or professional relationship.
Accuracy and timeliness
We work hard to keep information accurate and up to date, but scams change rapidly. We make no guarantees that all content will be current, complete, or error-free. Use your judgement and verify key details (for example, call your bank using the number on the back of your card).
Third-party links
We link to official resources (e.g., Action Fraud, NCSC, FCA) for convenience. We are not responsible for content or policies on external sites. Always check you’re on the genuine website before entering details.
Affiliate disclosure
Some pages may include clearly labelled affiliate links to products and services we genuinely recommend (e.g., security tools). If you click and purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps fund our free content and does not affect our recommendations.
Security and sensitive information
Please don’t send card details, passcodes, or other sensitive information via our contact form or email. For urgent matters, contact your bank or the relevant provider directly.
